I’ve never taken a camera to the fair before. There is something otherworldly about the lighting which I suppose blends in with my childhood memories of the fair experience with screams and loud music and sweet/greasy smells.

after a winter of endless rain, my city is desparate for sun and all things summery. an evening stroll along english bay is very touristy but it was exactly here, on a visit nearly fifteen years ago, that first planted a seed in my head to move. i anticipate staying put this summer. rediscovery is the next best thing to the new experience. might as well start now.

in my city, dogs are practice children for young couples. but it’s nice to catch them in their own social contexts, as couples or as gangs.
